This Privacy Policy explains how Veya App LLC ("Veya," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Veya mobile application, the Veya website at joinveya.app, and the Veya Text to Save text message program (collectively, the "Services").

• Account information: your phone number or Google account email, name, username, and profile photo.
• Your content: places you save, notes, ratings, photos, videos, and collections.
• Text messages: if you text Veya Text to Save, your mobile phone number and the content of the messages you send us.
• Social information: the people you follow and who follow you. If you choose to grant contact access, we use it only to help you find friends on Veya.
• Purchases: if you buy a paid collection, our payment processor handles your payment details. We do not store your full card number.
• Usage information: basic device, log, and app-usage data that helps us keep the Services working and improve them.

• To save, organize, and show your places and collections
• To save places you text to Veya Text to Save and reply to confirm them
• To power social features you choose to use
• To process purchases and provide customer support
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Services

We do not sell your personal information.

When you text Veya Text to Save or opt in on our website, we collect your mobile phone number and use it only to save places to your Veya account and send replies about those places. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@joinveya.app. Msg & data rates may apply.

We share information only in these cases:

• With other users, when you choose to share places, collections, or your profile.
• With service providers that operate the Services on our behalf, such as hosting, database (Supabase), maps and place data (Google Places), payments (Stripe). They may use your information only to provide their services to us. This sharing never includes SMS opt-in data or consent.
• For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Veya.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit or delete saved places at any time. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

Veya is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
